Dear amateur for Naadam festival tour - 2009

Your trip will be organized from July 7th till 15th and within your trip period the 500 horseman show. Show willing organized. If you could book early, you can include in subscription for hotels, horse tour and ger tourist camp. There is lot of order for hotels, horse tour and tourist camps during the term of Naadam, however you can get discount of 5% as soon as you book your interest tour within Feb, 2009. Naadam Festival.

About Naadam Festival

Day 01 - (July 07)
Arrival to Ulaanbaatar and check in hotel.

Day 02 - (July 08) City tour
After breakfast, will drive to Gandantegchilen Monaster, Suhbaatar square, shopping and other special things. For Lunch in a restaurant. You will see concert that Mongolian folklore ensemble “Tumen ekh” in the evening. It is Mongolian traditional song and music. We hope that you will like it. Overnight & Dinner in a Hotel.

Day 03 -  (July 09) Terelj National Park
After breakfast, Will drive around 71 km to reach the National Park Terelj – most exciting place near the city. We will explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones, which some of them looks quite similar with Turtle, person who reading book and others – by walking or horse riding, where we need to rent horses from local area. Lunch. The Terelj National Park is one of the part of Khenty Mountain Range. Lunch in the tourist camp. Then, we will visit local horse breeding family. There we have a chance to experience the nomads way of life. Dinner and overnight in ger camp.

Day 04 - (July 10) Horse racing & Archery
After breakfast,  drive back to UB city. And than we will go to Khvi Doloon khudag for see horse racing. We will be have for lunch. Will go for Archery. Overnight & Dinner in Hotel

Day 05 - (July 11) The Naadam festival opening  & Wrestling
After breakfast, we will visit in the Stadion. The Naadam festival opening starts at 9 a.m. After Naadam festival opening, we will see wrestling in the Stadion. Also we will be have for  lunch. And we will see archery. Wrestling continues for 2 days. Overnight & Dinner in a Hotel.

Day 06 - (July 12) See Horse Racing & Bogd Khaan Mountain
After breakfast, we will drive to Doloon Hudag to Horse racing. After Lunch, We will drive  to Bogd Khaan mountain. Will try to shot arrows and ride a horse. Indeed, we will be have for lunch. Also we can hike near Bogd Khaan mountain. Will drive back to UB city in the evening. Overnight & Dinner in a Hotel.

Day 07 - (July 13) Mountain Hustai Nuruu
Will pick up from the hotel. We will drive to /100 km/ via Khustai Nuruu National Park, where pastures Przewalsky wild horse, which brought from Holland in framework of international project, and explore local natural beauty. Lunch in the tourist camp. Then, will reach Khogno Khan mountain, where we’ll have a great opportunity to view and screen endless area from top of the mountain. It will give a wonderful feeling to explore the nature beauty. The landscape composition is quite exciting that mountain, grassland covered with beautiful flowers like - edelweiss, forest, rivers and sand dunes combined all-in-one and explore it by walking or horse riding, where we need to rent horses from local area. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
After Breakfast,  Will drive to Khustai National Park. Overnight and Dinner in hotel.

Day 08 - (July 14)
Will drive back to UB city.

Mongolia is country with an ancient culture and antique historical remains of all stages of Human history in Central Asia . The Mongolian national holiday is "Naadam" This holiday lasts 3 days, and it celebrated every year, from the 11 th of July to 13 th of July. During these days you can see "Three games of man". There is Mongolian National wrestling, the horse racing in which participate children 5-10 years old, and archery.

Wrestling
Wrestling is one of the traditional sports of the Mongols called "Three manly Games" and a big event of the Mongolian National holiday. Wrestling is not only a test of strength, but also have dexterous tricks, and can be even called as an art. The wrestling are attires in special wearing called zodog(a vest) and shuudag (pants).

Archery
The rust arrowhead was popular then. As many people as possible could take part in the contest and the winner was the ones who shot their arrows the farthest. This kind of contest was in existence in the 13 th century and was in use until recently.

Horseracing
This sport is also century's old, dating back to the Bronze Age. They are then taken to an adequate pasture separate from the herd and trained. The riders are aged from 5 to 12 Mongolian children of these ages are good riders, as both boy sand girls have been riding since infancy.
